This painting holiday will take place near one of Italy’s most beautiful lakes, Lake Orta, home to an enchanting island in the middle of the lake. Our venue is a charming Home holiday Center located 6 km from the lake and one of Italy’s most beautiful villages, Orta San Giulio. It’s also 45 km from Milan Malpensa airport.
This painting retreat includes two excursions to visit the lake and the island, as well as the Sacred Mountain of Orta, where you can admire the entire lake from above. What better setting to paint what we see around us and take home dreamed-of memories?
Orta San Giulio and the Sacred Mountain of Orta ( UNESCO world heritage) and Legro, are more than just destinations; they are experiences that touch the soul.
The Course
It will take place into a class in the structure overlooking the garden. We will paint also outdoors.
During the course, you’ll learn watercolor techniques, starting from the basics.
The learning process is guided.
You’ll learn how to manage colors, sketching, composition, tonal values, perspective, and proportions applied to watercolor.
We’ll start with simpler examples on postcards on the first day, then move on to more complex paintings on the following days, where we’ll put what we’ve learned into practice.

Lake Orta: To visit Orta San Giulio and the Island of San Giulio:
Orta San Giulio is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, located on the shores of Lake Orta in Northern Italy. The iconic Island of San Giulio, nestled in the center of the lake, is home to a splendid 12th-century basilica. The tranquil atmosphere, combined with the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, make Orta San Giulio an idyllic retreat.
The sacret Mountain: UNESCO world heritage. Located in northern Italy, It features stunning chapels adorned with frescoes, set amidst lush landscapes, reflecting deep spiritual significance.
