This Watercolour painting holiday will take place in Competa and Sayalonga, Malaga,
Cómpeta, the Balcony of La Axarquía, a charming white village set high in the hills of La Axarquía, often known as La Cornisa de la Axarquía or even the Balcony of the Costa del Sol—and once you arrive, it’s easy to see why. Located at 638 m above the sea level. and 30 mitutes to the sea by car.
Sayalonga, the whitewashed village very near Competa and the sea, in an area of outstanding natural beauty. At 400 m altitude and 10 minutes to the sea by car.
Dates:
April 2027, arrival the 10th, departure the 17th (7 nights) – In English
The course will be held in the hotel Balcon de Competa and outdoors ( excursions to Salobreña and routes in Competa)
April 2027, arrival the 19th, departure the 26th ( 7 nights)- In Italian
The course will be help in the municipality of Sayalonga and outdoors ( excursions to Nerja and Frigiliana). The accomodation will be in the local houses of Sayalonga.

The locations are very tourist and the menus are written everywhere in English, German, and French, as there are large English and German communities there.
The Course
During the course you will learn the watercolour technicque. The course will cover; sketching, tonal values, composition, perspective, and proportion. It lasts 20 hours, divided into half-days over 5 days.
Two / three days will be in our class and other days we will be painting outdoors, as there are many charming areas to see and to paint.
The course is suitable for beginners but if you have experience you can refine your skills.
A detailed list of materials will be sent to participants.
A Transfer from Malaga airport will be organized
You will have the possibility to enroll in some excursions with the group, such as, Malaga, Nerja or Frigiliana
